For nearly 3 hours at 320 kbps you will embark into a rather particular journey as the progression in this set will bring you from a large opening with soft tunes and some accelerations, to a definitely more techno oriented closing. Long sets are not only fun to play but also to design from scratch, selecting the tracks and making up a true story. This is what it all is about.

Stay connected in the coming hours for the track list.

Music lovers of underground house music welcome back on Nightblue’s Podcast. We deliver here today "Call it", a fresh new set mixed with ONLY VINYL records and without any computer assistance. Since the creation of this Podcast in 2010, this is the philosophy for a TRUE mixing experience, for the thrill and for the authenticity of what the craft of spinning vinyl stands for.

Hiroki Yokoyama is the man behind the artwork, from Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Check out Hiroki's other great pictures at https://www.facebook.com/hiroki.yokoyama.5621. Great talent! These are pictures which speak by themselves! Many thanks Hiroki for granting me the rights for this!

With “Call it” we leave behind us the minimal complicated beats of the June session, “Complications” and we enter into a rather different atmosphere directed more towards the deep house grounds. Maybe this one is a little easier to listen to. But again, classifying these tracks into one single genre is a rather difficult task. We are here truly in the house, underground scene with its long roots of the Berlin scene. From melodic, to harder and electro sounds, to fat deep bass tracks with punching lyrics coming in and out you will travel for more than 2 hours... A real melange of sounds. If you like this world of music you will love this set. Enjoy the summer and Nightblue’s Podcast. This is the ingredient for a satisfying listening session!

Track list: Gianluca Petrella is in the opening and closing of this set. First with “Balletto Meccanico” and then, at the end of the set, with “Cue” from the 103 EP. This EP is a true piece of art. Jazz and electro sounds, a perfect combination on Electronique.it. We stay on the Italian grounds with Marco Bernardi “Porcelain Lady”, Laffer EP part 1, on Barba Records. The rest follows as in the listening order: Destination Void “Non Existence” on Cuttin Headz from the Martinez Brother; Seth Troxler and Phil Moffa “Blue Rawls”, Rogue Music EP on Hypercolour; Rex the Dog “Sicko”, Rex the Dog EP on Kompakt; Ada Kaleh “Andre kronert rmx - es pera” on 3rd Wave Black Edition; Danny Daze & Deroboter “Drowning” on Omnidisc; Somne “Millenium”, Millenium EP on Nonplus [A journey where techno enters a land of shadows and rarefactions, escaping images, dark suggestions. Where gravity becomes a relative concept, uncertain, and where cinematic refractions count as much as the dance floor rules, in a continuous encounter] – strong!; Moreon & Baffa “Penzar”, a Mental Process EP on Visionquest; New York Transit Authority “Dinner & Corsica”, Brooklyn Underground EP on Lobster Boy; Markus Homm & Mihai Popoviciu “Terminal” on 8bit; East end Dubs “Entitled B1”, Tools Volume 2 on East end Dubs; Anja Schneider “Jimmy” on Mobilee; Pezzner “Anthology”, The Island Fantastic EP on Visionquest; Johannes Brecht “Enjoy the Void” on Boso; My Favorite Robot “White Light (Jimmy Edgar remix) on No.19 Music; Atelier Francesco “Akaino” on Boso; Sneaky Tim “Ricardo Villalobos & Heiko Mso Sneaky Dub Soup - Mental Kombat”, Whats Your Function EP Part 2” on Chiwax Classic Edition.

This is my tribute to Acid House!

The intro of this session (the first 35 seconds) has been reworked on Audacity before conversion as a cut and paste of bits and pieces within this set. The rest is handmade from ONLY VINYL RECORDS!

Most of these records come from Vinyl Mania in NY. Back in the 90' in the EU these records were very difficult to find... Saturday afternoon's consisted in going hunting around the record shops... looking for more. But these were scarce resources!! So enjoy, these are the original vinyl versions on beautiful (most of them) 180gr vinyls.

Enjoy!
